Algo Connector Desk (“the desk”) is run by Algo Software Development (“we”). This page explains what data we handle and why.

Who is who

Businesses that sign up (“customers”) use the desk to talk to their own clients on WhatsApp. For those chats, the customer decides what is collected and why. We process that data only on the customer's behalf, to run the service.

What we collect

  • Account details: name, email, phone number, business name, and a password stored only as a secure hash.
  • WhatsApp data the customer connects: messages, contact names and numbers, and details saved in the CRM.
  • Connection settings such as WhatsApp Business account IDs and access tokens, used only to send and receive the customer's messages.
  • Payment records: plan, amount and transaction reference (UTR). We do not store card or bank login details.
  • Basic technical logs (IP address, browser) for security and fixing problems.

How we use it

  • To deliver and receive WhatsApp messages through Meta's official WhatsApp Business Platform.
  • To draft replies and fill in CRM details using an AI service (Anthropic's Claude). Chat text is sent to it only to produce these results.
  • To send the customer alerts and daily reports, and to provide support and billing.

We never sell data, and we never use one customer's chats for another customer.

Who we share it with

  • Meta Platforms (WhatsApp Business Platform), to carry the messages.
  • Anthropic (Claude API), to generate replies.
  • Our hosting provider, to run the servers.
  • Authorities, only when the law requires it.

Keeping and deleting data

We keep data while the account is active. A customer can delete contacts at any time, or ask us to close the account and delete its data. Some payment records may be kept as the law requires.

Security

Access is protected by login, data is kept per business, and connections use HTTPS. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong password.

People messaging our customers

If you chatted with a business that uses the desk, that business controls your data. Contact them to see or delete it. Reply “STOP” to stop broadcast messages from that business.
